Brief description:
This month we are very excited to present Pamela Fox, Google Maps API Developer Programs Engineer. I think this will be a very interesting event and you will definitely walk away smarter and possibly inspired. Pamela's presentation is titled: "Communities + Google Maps: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." (Can't beat that nifty title.) Specifically, "we'll talk about the various ways of using Google Maps & the Maps API to create user-contributed maps, covering the spectrum from no-coding solutions to full custom databases and code, and showing examples of sites successfully using each technique" (Fox). Sounds pretty cool to me.

Our Meetup group is about sharing, teaching, learning, and networking around current and future web-based geospatial and social networking technology. You belong if you are an entrepreneur, VC, developer, social-networker, product manager, programmer, developer, visionary, geographer, geologist, explorer, marketer, business exec, project manager, student, or creative person who is curious about Web 2.0 mapping and social networks. We welcome all and exclude no one.

If you have a great idea for a presentation at our forum or know a company that is interested in presenting their social and/or mapping related application / technology please shoot me (Catherine Burton) an email: catherine@endpointenvironmental.com. I'm always interested to learn more about companies that are ripe to share their stuff.
